2017 Malibu “shift to park” issue. Just purchased a 2017 Malibu to drive 220 miles a day. I read about this issue on carcomplaints.com, but did think it was going to happen to me the second day of owning it. Anybody know the fix to correct this issue ? I had to have my drive shifter replaced completely - go while it’s under warranty.

To follow up, got my 2019 LT done today (finally). My copy of the Service Order referenced TB 19-NA-206 (no surprise there) and that they replaced the shifter park switch and jumper harness. Work was done under warranty, no charge (it was the cabin air filter that cost me $100, ugh). Harness Part No: 84733196. TSB 05-07-30-015 – Difficultly selecting a gear / shifter jams – Chevrolet Malibu 4T45E. Problem – On some vehicles, the gear selector may become inoperable. Hello All, I have a 2011 Chevy Malibu that has no problem shifting into Park and turning into ACC, but will not shift to the final off position to release the key from the ignition.
