Godsclaw passage for example is ripe with resources, close to good thralls and close to an obelisk. The purges are pretty good too, you get lots and lots and lots of juicy thralls coming your way, nordheimers. 2.
Once you are able to craft stronger buildings, then you can start making a larger base. You will still want to start small to go unnoticed and then expand outward. Ideally, you will still want to choose a place that is easy to defend.
