How to remove a grohe shower handle.
Per conversations with Grohe (the shower valve company) we believe the very old cartridge needs to be replaced, so the recommended part has been ordered and while I wait, I am trying to figure out how to properly remove the old cartridge with the intentions of reversing the order to reassemble the pieces after installing the new cartridge.

This Grohe shower valve should not have loose handles ever if installed properly.The double set screw feature will insure that the handle stay secure. Twist the ends tightly a couple turns, then take a pair of pliers and twist some more. For me it popped the handle right off, with no flying elbows. rb
