I would avoid the Kaplan PS book, from my experience you are better off studying from KA (300pg doc, videos), UWorld (answer explanations are key), and AAMC official material. I would also recommend the MileDown review sheets available on this subreddit as they are a good resource for concise review.

This 300-page Psych/Soc document by MCATBros is derived from the Khan Academy transcripts and is world-famous for its concise explanations and neat points. This has been followed up by the 100-page Psych/Soc and 86 page Psych/Soc content summaries, but our personal favourite is the 300-page summary. Tbh I did not like the 300 pg document at all. A lot of psych terms are just fancy words for stuff that is common sense. I felt the 300 pg document was bloated with too much fluff and images that didnât help. I liked the 86 pg doc because it just got straight to the point. Doing uearth was much more useful than reading an extra 214 pages

300 pager , 86 pager and add Anki tab Iâm doing this right now and itâs pretty nice. Copy and paste section from 86 page to the âextraâ tab on Anki and make sure everything make sense (comparing to 300 page). Then copy and paste certain sentences from summary with cloze deletions.

It's not that much really. The tpr Is a great resource. Definitely anki it, this keeps it fresh and ensures you absolutely commit it to memory. The Khan 300 will serve as a review for tpr concepts already learned and provide other new concepts not covered in tpr. UWorld is just extra application of the content and aamc is mandatory!do the 80 pg doc. I tried the 300 it has way too much unnecessary bs . I find that actually watching the khan academy videos and using the 300 page as a guide helps me more than just reading the doc. I've been using MileDown to study but the behavioral cards don't show up in the correct order so it's hard to match the cards with what I watched on KA (unless there is a way to do that but I'm not too savvy with the settings on anki) Any advice would be appreciated.

This is consistent with my own experience, wherein MileDown review sheet has covered everything I've seen in Kaplan, Khan (obviously), TBR, and on UWorld. The nice thing about Kaplan P/S is that it gives straightforward explanations, and you can refer to chapter summaries for organized definitions. In terms in comprehensive ness though, the 300 page doc goes into more detail and includes all possible testable content. I wouldnât say forgo it completely, but use it as a supplementI watched all of the KA P/S vids and read the 300 page doc along with it. The 300 page doc is more like a transcript of the videos but there are a lot of additional info not from the videos so it's worth at least skimming along to find which info aren't on the video.
