Nissan xterra vdc off slip reset.
The reset procedure in my manual says to start the vehicle with the wheels straight, then drive in a straight line, not exceeding 10mph. It works and resets the lights within 100ft. That said my Xterra has now had the steering angle sensor replaced for a third time. The vdc/slip lights came back on about a week later.

What I have seen on the xterra is the steering angle sensors out of adjust, this will turn on the lights. You will have to reset with the nissan scan tool, for center wheel adjustment setting. My 2007 Xterra did the same exact thing this morning. My wife said it didn't want to start but finally did (it's like 15 degrees F here today) and she said the "check engine soon," "SLIP," and "VDC Off" lights were all on and it wouldn't move. I tried all gears and 4WD but it would only creep back in to the driveway with the accelerator buried.
