New Okumura boss sucks so bad. I have so much trouble with this boss. I have level 40 and above party and I still get instakilled. I tried merciless because somehow I get the most progress with it, but this fight makes me want to drop the game and just go back to the vanilla game, I hate it so much. I hate getting help and relying on outside sources to beat bosses. I recently beat the Okumura boss fight (spent an entire day on it, too) and I'm really getting sick of this game now. I really enjoyed the first act, but the quality and care has slowly gone on a downward spiral since. It's so cartoonish and stupid now, down to the 5th palace boss having the goofiest space suit I have ever seen.

Kunikazi Okumura is arguably Persona 5 Royal's toughest boss. But with Okumura's you can't adapt to the boss during the fight, you have to either restart the infiltration to fix the lineup, restart the week to buy items, or worse, roll back to a previous save. I don't care what the "git gud" crowd says, this fight is a poorly designed difficulty spike and doesn't belong in the game.
The fight is easiest in merciless. Personally, I didn't have much problem, if at all, with any of bosses in P5/P5R, including Okumura. Granted I only beat him in Normal difficulty and I was around lvl 40-45. My only DLC persona was Izanagi Picaro at around lvl 43 I think.
