If you can train on getting a good sight picture with an RMR, when/if you ever swap to an SRO it will be like having easy mode on. RMR has a tiny window and your draw and press out needs to be DIALED. But it’s tough as hell and will be GTG once you learn how to get a good sight picture consistently.I've never dropped a gun onto concrete from any height and don't plan to either so the SRO looks like a great option for me. The RMR is definitely durable but Trijicon has done a poor job updating the RMR's design (top-loading battery, better glass, etc.). This is a personal opinion, but I think SRO is superior in every way...except for carry. For me, either the grip or the SRO end up poking out through the clothing. I don't have that problem with the RMR. Of course, your body type and clothing choices may work out different than mine.

Mine is 2.5 MOA on the SRO I like it! My RMR is 6.5 MOA. The problem I have with the RMR though is that sometimes it can take a second to find the dot on a draw, which I know is something that goes away with enough training but I’m not at that point yet where it’s automatic every time. We recommend the sealing plate for $10 to better protect your optic.
