As the storm moved through BARC's service area it created widespread power outages across the cooperative's entire electric system taking down power lines, transformers and trees. BARC crews began responding to power outages beginning at 2:30 am Monday morning and at the height of the storm, had over 1,400 electric consumers without power.
Outage Restoration Update BARC Electric crews have been hard at work since late Friday evening restoring power to our service territory. With a peak of over 700 members out, as of 8pm, we are down to 84 members out of power. For safety reasons, we will be sending our line crews and helpers home to get some much needed rest before midnight.
