Textures sudenly loading very slow. Hey guys, i got a problem with my title screen not really loading the textures also i got the same problem in game. Also the menus for settings and so are lagging also. I dont know why this is because i was able to play Baldurs Gate on high settings for like 100 hours. Thanks in advance if someone has a fix ...I've lowered all of the graphic settings to low and I'm still getting horribly slow texture pop in. My specs: GTX 1060 6GB, i5 7400, 8GB RAM. I know these aren't exactly high specs but I can run the game just fine with them; in fact, besides the long texture loading times, I can keep most of the settings on medium/high with no other issues ...Some motherboards have a built-in video port as well. Its a common mistake to make. But back on subject I have a GTX 1060 card and my models are slow to load at time as well. I feel like the EA game is bloated (file size wise) and it could cause slow down at times, but that just my opinion.Check your ssd speed (you can google it if you need any instructions). If it is as fast as it should be, I guess the problem is with the files or game settings, something must be limiting the speed. It is kinda slow, yes. M.2 nvme, pretty good one and it takes me 20-40sec, when memory leak hits it got to over a minute.

It would be nice, I hope they implement it well. Also reporting back, so far my settings for my hardware still holding up, game locked at 60fps in Act 3 no matter what happens. No microstutters, no sudden lag with camera angles, all smooth buttery BG3 goodness. 60 locked is the logical target as no cpu can get past 78fps in act iii anyways.

Saw an article recommending increasing RAM so I doubled my PC's 8GB RAM to 16GB and it launches and loads decently quickly now. I can't help you if you think 20 or so secs is too slow for you for loading a save game. It might be faster in the full release, but I don't think so. Nothing wrong with your system.
