I've read through tons of information on this forum and mine ended up being different. I have a 2017 2500 6.7 diesel with 40,000 miles on it. Last week I noticed a clunking noise coming from the driver side, right under my feet.

5.7. Recently took my 2016 in to recalibrate the ride height and they found that the driver front bearing was going out. I noticed prior that I would get the clunking sound and over time some bad tire noise. Check possibly replacing them. Dealer charged $450 to replace because I didn't have the time to do myself.

If you can cycle the suspension and soak it some more do it. Go for a drive and see if the noise is there still. If it is, soak the front lower driver side in the same manner, then go for a ride. If still there try drivers lower, then try the passenger side and see if any of that pinpoints which bushing it may be.

The fix is to file away any rust build-up with a file. And of course, make sure the caliper moves in/out freely on it's sliding pins.
