I got the affinity and have zero regrets. I got the walnut version for about $600 on gunbroker where the M2 was significantly more without offering much benefit for my use. Posted April 17, 2016. I have the M2 and love the gun, if I was spending the money for a brand new Franchi I'd buy a used M2. The Franchi is similar to the M2 but not the same. Like I didn't buy a different model Benelli, similar but not the same as the M2. Preference for one over the other nothing more.For 200-300 more than a Stoeger and ~400 less than an M2, you get most of the Benelli quality and better parts compatibility with the M2 to boot. Franchi affinity vs benelli. Not being a contrarian, but looking at these two guns, they’re identical. The Franchi even says benelli on it. Is there a difference significant enough to validate almost double the cost? FWIW I’ve had a Franchi for a while now and it’s been flawless, but need to get a 3.5” mag version.

From Dove, Ducks, Turkey to skeet shooting it’s been my favorite inertia gun I own. The Franchi fit me a lot better than any Benelli or Beretta. That’s the most important thing.The primary difference was that the M2 recoil spring is in the butt stock whereas the Franchi has the recoil spring located around the mag tube, like most other brands do. The Benelli also has the comfort tech stock or whatever they call it. If you are only using the gun for hunting, 3.5” chamber is fine.I own 2 Franchi Affinity’s; a 12ga elite waterfowl and a plain 20ga with wood stock and blued barrel. Function wise, they’re fantastic. I shoot a lot of skeet and have probably 15-17,000 rounds through the 12ga in the last 3.5 years, and another 3-4,000 through the 20ga.
