Make sure you pick her up and drop her off, that will give you plenty of time to make conversation in the car. Whatever you do, don't be too aggressive with the lubrication on the first date--that can really turn off some Glocks. Also, my Glock's build date was 2004 and it looks brand new.

Regarding slide finish, I have a Gen3 G35 production date in 2006 and a Gen3 G31 prod date 2012: The Gen3 slide is very shiny/glossy. The Gen4 is a bit rough, and grayish color. Just what I have.
