It goes to reason that a shorter stroke is always better in most respects like engine life, accel. etc.. 260º shouldn't be a problem on head temp. only with EITMS, that would engage at that temp. EITMS would be the rough idle but it shouldn't cut the engine out. There could be other things playing into this too. Might have a faulty throttle sensor but that should also throw a code. Have you checked for codes yet ? I would think the Harley shop ...
