EITMS activation frequency - 2020 Road King Special. I see this subject has been done to death but i'll give it another one. Have a 2020 Road King Special and the EITMS never used to cut in and then was in a remote area and had to put 91 octane in it for a couple of tanks, coincidence or not that's when i noticed it.

Should roll it "off" past the point it would normally stop at, hold it there for 10-12 seconds, that should turn it on or off depending on whether it was already off or on. Your owner's manual should tell you as the procedure may vary on some bikes. It helped, but still a lot hotter than the old 80" EVO and the 88" TC. I decided to turn the EITMS on. This is more word of mouth from multiple technicians than official advise. Their argument against it is that the engine will eventually wear out quicker because of the uneven detonation of the engine when shutting down a cylinder. Just what I've heard, not sure if that's accurate but it was enough for me to shut it off.
