The 211i was like $1326 to my door with a free helmet, the Miller Multimatic was going to be $2138 with the tig kit. I also tried to go the route of a stand alone mig, and buying a seperate dc-tig machine but it just was not happening for under $2000 with an American manufacturer.. This 211i machine is made in China, I do not like that.

Miller discontinued the MM 210 about 5 years ago. The 210 is a good unit. $1000 is probably a little on the high side. For light duty home hobbyist usage, mostly 1/4" and thinner, I'd probably just go with a Millermatic 211 or Hobart Handler 210 MVP.
