To reduce the contamination of our aquifer and waterways, Marion County is implementing a septic-to-sewer conversion program. This program will help keep septic tanks from polluting our water table and the springs that make Marion County such a picturesque place to live, as well as offering several additional benefits to our citizens.

The Marion County Board of County Commissioners recently approved these 21 positions, paving the way for MCFR to add an additional layer of leadership throughout our ranks.EMS Operations. MCFR is committed to the providing reliable, and well-trained emergency medical services (EMS) to the community. Emergency medical technicians (EMTs) new to MCFR sign a contract that requires them to become paramedics within five years of their hire date.
