The Mark III Hunter with the 5.5 inch barrel is not a standard Ruger item I believe. It is a TALO distributor exclusive. I do not know exactly what means with respect to getting one. One of the LGS has had some TALO guns. They had a GP100 with a 5" barrel and it was a TALO item. There is no doubt the MK III Hunter with the 5.5" bbl would be nice.

Once sighted in, the advantage of a red dot is a sight easier to place on the target. Most red dot sights use a CR2032 three volt battery with a variable brightness control.
