I bit the bullet and removed it. Three bolts - two on the bottom, and the top one that holds the solenoid on.Oil filter wet oil. 2. Bottom oil pan around the drain bolt and to right side are wet oil. 3. Behind the flywheel wet oil. 4. Around the vtec solenoid / oil pressure sensor wet oil. To clean off the built up oil sludge prior to removal, I sprayed the area heavily with Purple Power degreaser and brake cleaner, then washed off with hot water.
