M9a1 vs 92a1.
The M9a1 has checked grooves on the grip, and the 92a1 has only vertical grooves on the grip. Holding the 92a1, my hand wants to slide right off of the grip. The checkering on the M9a1 is superb, and gives me a much more solid grip. I use a Hogue overmolded grip on the 92a1, and stock grip panels on the M9a1.

There is also finally aftermarket night sights for the 92A1 from Trijicon now. And, while others may disagree - I personally like the regular front and rear strap serrations over the checkering on the M9A1.The 92A1 (Not to be confused with the M9A1) lacks interchangability with other 92 models. It has an internal buffer built into the frame tjat means the slide is not interchanable with other frames. That's why the vertec slides have become common place on modern 92 product lines. If you want the full frame I'd buy an LTT Elite or an M9A1.The trigger pulls for the 92A1 and 92FS are generally similar, with both models offering a smooth and consistent pull. 13.
