I used 60 grains hodgon's triple 7 3f granulation( I don't want to hear it about not using real BP).54 wool wad over powder 80 grains of shot(#6) and a wad over shot At 20 yards the pattern had 30 average hits into what I consider the kill zone.

I bought the 3/8 and with a little judicious filing on them they fit the CVA dovetails. I didn't want to enlarge the dovetails in case I went back to the stock sights. The front & rear are the same size.I've looked around for a bit trying to find one of these, but I haven't had any luck so I'm gonna create my own. I'm gonna take my Traditions Kentucky and cut it down, recrown,etc. Then refit the nose cap, drill and tap the underside of the barrel for it.
