My remote start is not working...I push the lock button and then hold down the start button and all it does is beep at me 3 times. I have a new battery in my key FOB, my check engine light is NOT on and I have checked the DIC to make sure the automatic start in enabled.

Lately my check engine light has been steadily on and when I accelerate from stop my car is sluggish as all heck. Sometimes the RPMs shoot up to 5,000 before it even shifts and starts to drive normal. It does it again at the 40 MPH range.

tchris99. We replaced the fuel pump and about 5 months latter we have a real problem.. The trunk fuse box is now toasted and also took out the fuel pump. $1100 to fix. Brush the corrosion off the contact points in the socket as best you can. Get a new bulb & dielectric grease. Coat the base with a small amount of dielectric grease & reinstall. If you were to follow the charging lead from the alternator it goes to the starter, than to the battery. Right at the connection would be the fusible link. Try this: First, with the key out of the ignition (to prevent further problems!), disconnect the NEGATIVE battery cable. Next, disconnect the power to all the new electronics you added. Whether it is pulling out the fuse, removing the wire, whatever, disconnect the power completely.

I ran into the same issue, I found that the Harness that connects the headlights itself to the car had some loose wires in it, and if I fiddled around with the wires I could make the low beam come back on. In the engine compartment fuse box identify & mark relays 31, 32 & 53. Then swap 31 & 32 each in turn with relay 53. You can leave the 53 slot empty for the tests.
