In the big patch mod it's patched but vanilla it isn't. It's one of the easiest to do. Just put the plate right next to the bench on the wall and whirlwind sprint through it. I know I used to do it all the time which is why the fact I've struggled to do makes me think the thing was patched. I'll try again.
