A basic SLKR squad would be SLKR, KRU, HUX, FOST, Sith Trooper.Padme of CLS can do the older ones but for Malgus the only non GL team that really works is Sith trio, Malak and Talon. Padme/CLS can do the easiest events. I've tried Rey, SLKR and JMK (no ult) on the more recent events the last time PG rolled round. For me, Rey is the easiest to complete any given PG with.
