Hey All - has anyone used a Shiftpod? Any thoughts. I recently picked up a Gazelle T4 - but have yet to open the box. The Shiftpod is more expensive, but not massively. I’m interested as it seems like it could be a good emergency shelter with the extra insulation. I guess the Gazelle could also... Interested to see what others think...Shade cloth comes in specific widths, so you can plan you unit around that too. The other possible structure is more expensive, lighter, usable for other things and possibly rentable. Look up tube and clamp scaffolding. Aluminum will be lighter. Shiftpods are popular, so you could grow with it or sell it in the future.I imagine a shiftpod under bigger shade would work pretty well, and the full-size shiftpod definitely gives you room for a nice bed setup along with all your other stuff. Shiftpod recommends reinforcing the roof during high winds, so we brought a 1" wide pvc pipe exactly 6'2" long. This was just big enough to prop up the roof in the middle of the tent during windstorms, but I don't think it was really ever necessary this year.I have leaned towards the shiftpod because of its ease of setup , thermal insulation/protection , and solid structure that prevents "wind flapping" that allows for a better sleep. Didn't want to resurrect an old thread and there's not much information online. What A/C set up did you use? Was A/C crucial in a shiftpod?
