The Performance (alto and tenor) has a more traditional post-to-rib-to-body. The Performance have a detatchable bell. And the neck profile (other than the bore) is very different, very Selmer-like (if not a Selmer-copy). Keys are different, key cups are very different. Even the key touches are different.

Aug 4, 2003 · Sax players will notice that they have to listen to the monitor mix at a slightly higher level than rhythm players. The reason is simple. When you play the horn it resonates in your head, therefore you'll have to turn up a bit to hear the mix above the natural resonation. These things aren't cheap.
