HI, I Have a Big PROBLEM, with my new Benelli Nova. I fired a couple of box of winchester ammunition, Everything is fine, i really like my new shotgun ! I went out of ammo, i went to my local store and the only 12ga ammunition left was: Remington Express...and i'm not really a fan off remington...sorry to tell, but i have to be honest!.Easier to clean than my pump (Mossberg 500)! Way less parts. Sure there are some good youtube videos to do it justice, but to me the best part is the bolt group clips into the action bar sleeve and everything slides into place (after you align the bolt slide connecting rod to the recoil spring guide). Don't worry about all those names.

Generally a waterfowl gun won't be a great home defense option unfortunately, but a shotgun isn't the best home defense option anyways. The Supernova vs the 590 is a much more suitable comparison in my eyes. The Benelli being better balanced and much "nicer", whilst the 590 is built as tough as any gun I've ever seen. if clubbing an elephant to death is a consideration potentially, 590. It's new, and relatively unproven in the test of time. It's largely plastic with a chromed bore, so it's much more corrosion resistant than stock 500s or 870s. Forget about accessory barrels- getting one costs almost as much as a new Nova. I also am not a fan of pistol grip shotguns. For me, the pistol grip slows down transitions.
