Shot 4 magazines without issue, but at the end of the 5th magazine the slide failed to lock open. I quickly checked and the last spent casing had been ejected, but the slide would not open all the way, it lacked maybe 1/2" to 3/4" of ... Glock 43X. I like the added weight also. I’ve had a few FTE with good quality NATO 124 gr spec ammo (WW and Norma) out of about 400 rds. The lower was a complete oem glock lower other than me changing out the trigger shoe and installing steel mag release. After I got it back, I thought I was limp wristing, so I kept going to the range. I was mainly using one magazine, sometimes the other mag too. After about 650-700 rounds, the problem disappeared. They are known to have this issue. You need to file the right screw down a few mm until it no longer screws onto your extractor spring pin. I literally went to an armorer today for this exact issue. EPS Carry on a brand new G43x. They took the gun apart, took off the optic, filed down the screw, and reassembled.

SD56 Discussion starter. 41 posts · Joined 2022. #1 · Oct 7, 2022. I have the Glock 43X MOS (new shooter, purchased with edc in mind) and am finding it a bit snappy due to some arthritis. I've seen a few things about replacing the stock guide rod with steel or tungsten to reduce recoil a bit.

The Glock 26 weighs 19.72 oz. empty and 26.07 loaded. The Glock 43X weighs 18.70 oz. empty and 23.07 loaded. In addition it has the slim frame slide. I am considering trying the stick-on backstrap that is advertised on the forum to see what difference the longer trigger reach might mean.

Glock fixed that w/ a newer, softer connector, and the overly stiff trigger problem on the 42/43 pistols pretty much went away.
