On the older Glocks there was a 3 letter date code on the barrel - not part of the serial number. This date code identified the production date but Glock stopped putting these on the guns a long time ago. In this picture you can see the serial number on the left and the date code "BTT" on the right hand side of the barrel.It is the smallest Glock in production.
