Jan 24, 2020 · The bike is a 2006 FLHT base model Electra Glide. It came from the factory with a carburetor. I might be mistaken about it being a 96 inch motor from the factory. According to Wiki the 96 inch motor first came in the 2007 HDs. The motor has been replaced a few times. A great combination to upgrade an 88" is an "over square" 107" motor. A 4.125" bore x 4.00" stroke, with about 10.5 static, a decent set of cams with about .600" lift, good heads and the right pipe and you got yourself a torquey, dependable motor that is a hoot to ride.The Beetle’s powertrain consists of a 999 cc inline-four and six-speed transmission from a Honda CBR1000RR motorcycle. The engine produces around 175 horsepower and 103-112 lb-ft of torque depending on which model year it is. A chain takes the power to a custom housed Quaife ATB limited-slip differential. It will not be an easy swap. It can be made to fit. The 2001 has a Magnetti Marelli EFI and you will need the wiring harness and more if yours doesn't have the MM EFI. With the amount you will likely spend to do the conversion you can probably buy a later model used TwinCam ready to ride. Very good bolt in for a 96", little undercammed for the 103" but produces great torque in every range and a wonderful cam for touring (with a little racing fun too). Very quiet and well mannered. No cam noise like some of the other cams out there.

Also the harness is different. Either swap the old sensors and harness or re pin the road king harness. I wound up re pinning since crank sensor was smashed in the old engine.
