Each god pantheon controls something like their own planet to put things into perspective, all worlds are connected via some sort of metaverse. By 2 he is an actual god but is stripped from his godhood. However he gains more power in the way from the titans to kill gods. In 3 he loses it again but gains more and more power through killing multiple titans and gods. In the end the power from 1 is still with him until he releases it to the world. In all instances he was still a demigod.
