I have a .25" top plate on the old model 6112(with 6 perches). Have it on 6/5 riding on 285/75/17s. Rides good IMO. I'm guessing my lift is @3.25". 40.5" ground to fender. In a few weeks I'm switching to a .5" top plate. You could probably do 2" lift on the 6112 and .5" plate for a true 3" lift. Would ride great! Might have to think about UCAs.
